And so, as a result of your suggestions and our long nights at the drawing board…. we are thrilled to unveil our new range of British designed and manufactured Tough Gig Bags.

The clue is in the name. These “Tough Gig” bags have protection where it counts, to keep your pedals and boards safe when you’re out and about gigging. Hard wearing, elegant, and a huge step up in materials specification, practicality and quality over our previously imported pro gig bags. Great value too, with a retail price point currently 30% lower than the nearest equivalent dedicated pedal board soft bag. Plus, with our optional upgrade to include rigid high impact inserts into our smart pouch design that gives access to the bag linings, the tough gig professional bag just gets even tougher. All the protective benefits of a tour case, but with lightweight convenience you carry over your shoulder.

Bags are available in two sizes. Our larger standard size, The PDTGTB-A to fit our Artist boards, and a new smaller format which provides a snug fit the Player or Solo board options. Both sizes are equipped with an additional front pouch, for storage of all those little bits and bobs we guitarists need to carry, but we want kept away from our precious pedals.

Also, with the arrival of this new range, we can say with great pride and a big puffed out chest, that our entire range of PedalDeck products are now designed and manufactured right here in the UK. The Tough Gig bags were the last piece of that puzzle, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

The light bulb moment was that we didn’t need to make a cheap bag, we needed to make the best bag for the job.

We needed to solve some travel challenges for gigging musicians, like weight, durability, portability and most of all protection for our precious pedals. Now not every musician travels by private jet to their next gig, so not everyone needs a flight case, if you are tight on space already in the back of the hatchback, or the dummer has taken up 80% of the van with his stadium kit on the way to the pub venue in the next village, then your choice a travel bags is important, but gear protection on the journey remains paramount.

After 4 years of head scratching, material testing and working with an exceptional custom bag manufacturer with over 30 years experience in the North West of England, we hope we have made the pedal board gig bag that musicians have been waiting for.

Many of the features of our new bags are highlighted in the image gallery shown. These features and benefits have come at a cost. Our original bag retailed at £40, the new Tough bags start at £95 but we believe the benefits outweigh the cost increase. (especially if you consider the nearest to our specification bag available in the uk if £50 more expensive – you know who they are we are not naming them here.
